In
1992, some nineteen years after the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision
of January 22, 1973, a small distinctly pro-life book written by Mr. Drew
DeCoursey titled Lifting the Veil of Choice: Defending Life,
was published by Our Sunday Visitor. One of the most poignant statements
in the book is found in the Forward penned by Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
She says, "There is no more choice, once a child has been conceived
- a second life is in the womb of the mother. To destroy that life by
abortion is a murder - worse than any other murder. Because today the
preborn are dying by the deliberate will of the ones who have given them
life. The preborn child, being so small - so weak - so dependent - so
unable to defend its life, is the poorest of the poor." Her proclamation
that once a child has been conceived there is no more choice inspired
the name of this web site - a web site dedicated to making available to
those who make laws and to those who vote for those who make laws a unique
argument in support of the pro-life position. Toward this end, a new edition
of the essay titled The Case for Pro-Life is now available
in PDF format.*
